Leon Askew is the directing team of Chad Leon Ostrom and Jennifer Askew. From traditional beauty to cutting edge fashion to comedy, they’re genre-agnostic but with the hallmark of arresting visuals.

The team was formed and forged in New York City blending each’s respective background. Jennifer studied photography at the Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA before moving to NYC and lighting for photographers like Nigel Perry, Steven Sebring, and Gilles Bensimon. After establishing her own photography career she parlayed a discerning eye into cinematography as well.

Chad ventured from Manhattan, KS to Manhattan, NY forming influences in the early Williamsburg arts movement and on the blossoming hip-hop music video sets in the mid-to-late 2000s. A sharp left turn found him head of studio for director and photographer Douglas Keeve running campaigns for some of the biggest names in fashion. Along with Jennifer he quickly grew to directing spots for those same clients.
